    Air conditioning, automatic transmission, unlimited mileage.
    Chevrolet Cavalier or similar, 3 adults, 1 large suitcase, 4 doors

  • Note for packing: Luggage should not be too large/heavy--will have to take onto shuttle bus at Tampa Airport Remote Parking Lot and walk a long way at Toronto to rent car.
  • Attire for the day: casual and comfortable. Activities for the day: riding in vehicle, flying on plane)
  • 7:00 AM -Jason, Karen, Jerome, Carl, Judy, Julie, and Tammy drive in the Suburban to Tampa Airport
  • Park Suburban @ Remote Parking Lot and take shuttle to Tampa International Airport
  • Depart on Air Canada Flight number 903 @ 1:00 p.m.
  • Arrive in Toronto Pearson Airport @ 3:45 p.m.
  • Jason rents a compact car to be returned on Fri., July 29, 2005 @ 9:00 a.m.
  • Judy rents a larger car to be returned on Sun., July 31, 2005 @ 9:00 a.m.
  • Drive the 75 miles from Toronto Airport to Carriage Hills Resort at Barrie, ON
  • Meals: Breakfast at home, Lunch on the way to Tampa, Supper with Brian/Naomi at Carriage Hills/Horseshoe Resort--in our rooms or the resort lounge

  • From Toronto, take Highway 400 North through Barrie to Horseshoe Valley Road (Exit 117). Take Horseshoe Valley Road East, for 5 minutes through Craighurst, to Horseshoe Resort. Turn right off of Horseshoe Valley Road, into Horseshoe Resort, and check-in at The Inn.
  • The Carriage House Recreation Centre houses a spectacular indoor/outdoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, and a fitness, and games/billiard room. From aqua aerobics to painting flowerpots, and guided nature walks - our Activities staff has something for the whole family at Carriage Hills. Our owners also have preferred access to activities at our neighbour, Horseshoe Resort. Horseshoe offers 2 championship golf courses, tennis, fitness facility, gourmet fine dining at Silks, casual fare at Go West Grill (Take Out Pizza-ext. 1180) and the new Crazy Horse Saloon, and the Fire Side Cafe'.

  • Serendipity Princess Cruises - Take a 75 minute cruise on a triple deck paddle-wheeler around Lake Simcoe's Kempenfelt Bay. The Serendipidity Princess operates from June 1 to September 15, offering daily cruises and nightly charters. Leaves from dock in downtown Barrie. City of Barrie Map.
