Flickr's employees remind me of my colleagues--elementary teachers. It's an unusual day when the lesson plans are followed exactly. Elementary teachers are known to be flexible. They come up with alternative activities in a moment's notice.
When flickr went down, I was in the process of uploading vacation pics (I'm only behind on about 3 trips-- :), but when I saw their message to print out the 2 circles (like the icon for flickr) and color it to enter into a contest, I thought, "Why not?" Of course, I really had some editing to do on the many photos yet to be uploaded, but I printed out the sheet. Then.....a problem....I don't have any creativity or coloring materials. I dug around in a drawer in my office and found a red paint pen ( can't remember why I purchased it), 5 metallic pens (can't remember why I purchased them), a pencil that actually had a point, and a pen with blue ink. This is my creation--nothing all that good, but I'm being a team player. Our flickr community sticks together even when the tubes are clogged. I pray they are unclogged soon.
